Southbank Institute of Technology student village accommodation

As an extension of the Southbank Institute of Technology redevelopment, Nardia Plumbing was contracted to complete major hydraulic works for the student village accommodation involving the construction of a 707 room complex. Nardia Plumbing secured a design and construct contract requiring $3.9 million worth of hydraulic works. Prefabricated bathroom pods, manufactured in Italy, were shipped to Australia for installation and Nardia Plumbing was contracted to control the compliance of the pods to meet the Australian Standards Plumbing code.We took delivery, completing set outs, positioning and installation throughout the construction process. We also installed one of the latest and leading greywater reuse systems for water recycling.

Prompt completion of the works ensured John Holland Constructions was able to meet tight programme expectations.

The village is part of the Southbank Education and Training Precinct redevelopment and will provide on-campus accommodation for international and domestic tertiary students.
